The high-pressure fuel pump can suffer from excessive wear of the cam follower that drives the pump effecting fuel pressure and consequent performance.The original tappets were not hardened and suffered premature wear.
Our reinforced tappet has extra hardening to preserve function and will most likely well outlive the car ! Sold with a new O ring seal and bolts. It is recommended to inspect these every 10000Â miles considering these engines are now over 10 years old.
